Nilagang Baboy Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Pork front leg slice 1 inch
- 3 cups raw Langka (Jack fruit) slice 1/2 inch
- 8 pcs. Batwan
- 3 pcs. Long Chili (siling mahaba)
- 2 tbsp. cooking oil
- 4 heads GArlic pound
- 2 medium size Onions slice
- Salt
- Ajinomoto mono sodium glutimate (optional)
- 1 pc. Knorr Pork stock cube
- Magic Sarap all in one seasoning granules.
How to cook Nilagang Baboy
Procedure:
- Heat oil in cooking pot.
- Saute garlic until golden brown. Add onion and suate till golden brown.
- Add pork saute 3 minutes.
- Add water just enough to cover the pork.
- Add batwan. Bring to boil until pork is half cooked. Remove the pork froth as it boils.
- Salt to taste.
- Add the Langka (Jack fruit)boil till tender.
- Add Ajinomoto mono sodium glutamate (optional).
- Add the long Chili.
- Add the Knorr Pork stock cube.
- Sprinkle a dash of Magic Sarap all in one seasoning granules.
Tips:
- Knorr sinigang sa Sampalok mix can be an alternative to Batwan. Sprinkle Sampalok mix to desired sourness.
- When purchasing pork, make sure the pork meat is pale red or graying pink color. The carcass should be soft to moderate firm. The texture is fine. The fat is white, finely granular and soft. the bone marrow is soft and pink red.
